There are 130 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 7, 2021.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (38), Far North West (14), North Central (14), Far North East (13), South East (10), Regina (9), North West (6), Central East (5), North East (4), Central West (4), South Central (4), Far North Central (3), and South West (2).
Three of the four new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
Four cases are pending residence information.
There are now 50,447 reported cases, including 628 active cases.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 62 (5.1 new cases per 100,000).
There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 582.
A total of 12,379 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,833), Saskatoon (2,159), South East (1,156), South Central (891), North West (872), Central East (654), North Central (645), South West (416), Far North West (337), Central West (150), Far North East (88), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 83 screened VOCs with residence pending.
An additional 3,491 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,430,018.

There are 60 people in hospital. Forty-eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (23), North Central (10), Regina (9), North West (2), South East (2), Far North West (1), and South Central (1). Twelve people are in intensive care in the following zones: Regina (5), Saskatoon (4), and North Central (3).
Sixty more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 49,267 recoveries.
There were 1,921 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 972,416 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
