There are 143 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 15, 2021.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (37), North Central (15), North West (13), North East (10), South Central (10), South East (8), South West (8), Regina (7), Central East (6), Far North West (5), Far North Central (4), Far North East (2), and Central West (2).
Over two-fifths (42.97per cent) of new cases are in the 20-39 age category.
Six of the 10 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
Sixteen cases are pending residence information.
Two cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Central West (1) and South West (1) zones.
There are now 51,305 reported cases, including 1,043 active cases.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 106 (8.8 new cases per 100,000).
There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 586.
A total of 12,412 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,836), Saskatoon (2,170), South East (1,157), South Central (893), North West (877), Central East (654), North Central (654), South West (417), Far North West (338), Central West (150), Far North East (94), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.
An additional 2,283 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,446,661.

There are 74 people in hospital. Sixty-four people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (29), North Central (15), Regina (9), North West (4), South East (2), South Central (2), Far North West (1), Central West (1), and Central East (1). Ten people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (5), North Central (2), Regina (2), and North West (1). Of the 74 patients, 57 (77 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.
Fifty-eight more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 49,676 recoveries.
There were 1,839 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 986,264 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
