As of Oct. 30th, the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign has begun.
Although it was previously decided by Moose Jaw Branch No. 59 to forego the distribution of poppy trays this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Poppy Committee has amended the decision.
Poppy trays have been delivered to the 2020 National Poppy Campaign sponsors: Bank of Montreal (BMO), Bulk Barn, Real Canadian Superstore, Peoples Jewelers, Revera (The Bentley), Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks, The Source and Tim Hortons.
Bulk poppies are also available to other businesses or locations upon request and they are always available at the Legion Branch, 268 High Street West.
Although the poppies are free, please remember that the Royal Canadian Legion relies solely on the support of public donations to continue to help and support our veterans and their families.
Donations can be made via e-transfer to [email protected], by cheque, or by credit card by calling the Legion Office at 306-692-5453.
For further information, please contact Comrade Robert Travale, Branch 59 Poppy Fund Chairperson at 306-690-4130.
