There are 85 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 6, 2021.
The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (19), South East (12), South West (10), North Central (9), North West (8), Far North West (6), South Central (6), Central West (4), Far North East (3), Central East (3), Far North Central (2), North East (1), and Regina (1).
Three of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.
One case is pending residence information.
There are now 50,338 reported cases, including 549 active cases.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 54 (4.5 new cases per 100,000).
A total of 12,374 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,833), Saskatoon (2,159), South East (1,156), South Central (891), North West (872), Central East (654), North Central (645), South West (416), Far North West (337), Central West (150), Far North East (88), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 83 screened VOCs with residence pending.
An additional 3,707 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,426,527.

There are 57 people in hospital. Forty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (22), North Central (10), Regina (9), Far North West (1), North West (1), South Central (1), and South East (1). Twelve people are in intensive care in the following zones: Regina (5), Saskatoon (4), and North Central (3).
Forty more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 49,207 recoveries.
There were 1,931 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 970,495 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
