The Moose Jaw AAA Warriors are through to the semifinal of the Mac's Midget AAA tournament in Calgary, and they'll be facing a familiar foe in the process.
The Warriors took a 4-1 victory over the previously undefeated Chicago Mission in the quarter-finals on Tuesday morning to reach the prestigious event's final four,. There, they'll now take on the Saskatoon Blazers for a right to play in the gold medal game on Wednesday evening.
Moose Jaw led 1-0 after the first on a goal from Caelan Fitzpatrick before scoring all three of their other markers in the second, with Fitzpatrick picking up his second of the game to go along with single goals from Max Wanner and Kirk Mullen.

The Blazers – who feature Moose Jaw Warriors goaltending prospect Brett Mirwald – posted a 3-1 record in the round robin, including a 5-2 loss to the Mission.
The Warriors and Blazers are two of the top teams in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA league, with 21-8-1-0 (first place) and 20-7-0-1 (third place) records respectively. They have met three times previously this season, with Saskatoon winning all three games: 4-3 on Sept. 28, 3-1 on Oct. 5 and most recently 4-3 on Nov. 9. They'll also play again almost immediately upon returning home on Jan. 9 in Saskatoon.
Game time for the semifinal is 4 p.m. Moose Jaw time Tuesday afternoon, with the gold medal game taking place at 5:30 p.m. on New Year's Day.
