The Association communautaire fransaskoise de Moose Jaw is offering a chance for local youngsters to spend the final weeks of summer vacation in a fun and entertaining environment – and maybe the little ones can pick up on or refresh their knowledge of one of Canada’s official languages in the process.

The ACFMJ will be holding a pair of week-long day camps at Ecole Ducharme, located at 340 Ominica Street West, and have pushed the registration deadline to Aug. 14 in order to further fill up camp dates.

The event — which is open to children ages 6 to 11 — will run from Aug. 17 to 21 and from Aug. 24 to 28, with each day running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a childcare service from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. if requested.

The cost is $30 per child per day or $130 per week, or $240 for siblings. Childcare services will cost $4 per 15 minutes, per child.

The camp will feature a variety of sports, arts and culture filled with discovery and friendship.
