MOOSE JAW — A Moose Jaw man accused of robbing the Circle K convenience store on the 1200 block of Main Street North has been released from custody under several conditions.
Kelsay Jacob Inglis appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on April 7, with Crown prosecutor Rob Parker agreeing to release him under some strict provisions and Judge David Chow reading the terms to the accused.
Those conditions include for Inglis to appear before the court when required, report to a bail supervision officer upon his release, obey that person or a designate thereafter, live at an approved residence and not change the address without permission, and maintain a curfew of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. unless given written permission by the officer, a designate, or the court.
Furthermore, he must come to the door of his residence when a bail supervision officer, designate or police officer visits to check the curfew conditions, not visit any Circle K store in Moose Jaw, not possess firearms, ammunition, crossbow, prohibited weapons or other weapons such as knives, unless using the latter for eating or working, and allow the police to search him, his residence or his vehicle without a warrant or on reasonable grounds to check the conditions and only twice a month.
The judge asked Inglis if he agreed to abide by the provisions, with the accused saying, “Yes, your Honour,” while the judge added that there was no financial bond the man had to post for his release.
Inglis is accused of robbing the Circle K convenience store at 1202 Main Street North on March 31. The Moose Jaw Police Service arrested him on April 5 and charged him with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent and using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence.
The man’s next court appearance is Monday, May 5.
