The Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce is happy to have seen so many exhibitors and attendees at this year’s Business Expo, said CEO Rob Clark. This is the third year since the event has been brought back by the Chamber, and it has continued to do well.
Large and small businesses set themselves up at the Convention Centre at the Exhibition Grounds for the weekend, and a crowd of people wandered through to check out the local businesses on display.
Foot traffic was hectic on Saturday, and a bit slower on Sunday — likely due to the nice weather outside — but in some ways, a less packed hall can be good too.
“As I wander around and talk to the vendors, it gives them an opportunity to talk if it's not wall-to-wall people, so they can talk to potential customers down the road,” said Clark. “So they all seem to be getting what they wanted to get out of it, so it's been beneficial to them.”
Over 60 exhibitors filled the hall, which is slightly less than the numbers from last year, but Clark is hoping to see an increase in vendors in the future.
“We're coming up with some ideas and actually doing some survey, just verbally with the vendors here now, about what we can do to improve, ” said Clark. “We’re always trying to improve, get more innovative and creative.”
