UPDATE: June 19

In a press release, the City of Moose Jaw says they will begin waste collection at 5 a.m. in scheduled collection zones until further notice. This will hopefully help the city get back on schedule.

The city thanks residents for their patience and apologizes for any inconvenience.

The original story is below.

Some residents will have to wait to have their garbage collected.

Due to mechanical breakdowns within the collection fleet, The City of Moose Jaw will be behind schedule for waste collection over the next few days.

Monday's scheduled pick ups in Zone 1 from Ninth Avenue NW to 16th Avenue NW and from Athabasca St. West to Albert St. West have been postponed until today.

According to a press release, the city will continue to make every effort to collect garbage on scheduled days.

Mechanical issues caused similar problems in Zone 8 last week.
