Free transit to the Air Show will be provided by the City of Moose Jaw.

The City of Moose Jaw has announced it will be offering free transit service to the air base for the Saskatchewan Air Show, which is returning on July 6-7.

Transit buses will be making trips between the city and the 15 Wing CANEX on both days of the air show, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Drop off locations in the city will be the northeast corner of the Civic Centre Plaza, and on the 200 block of 1st Ave NW, behind City Hall. The first departure from Civic Centre Plaza will be at 9:30 a.m., and the first departure from 1st Ave NW will be at 9:38 a.m.

The first departure from the air base will be at 9:53 a.m. After these first pickups, buses will run a continuous cycle of the three locations every 15 minutes until shutting down at 6 p.m.

The City of Moose Jaw encourages people to take advantage of the service but reminds everyone that seating on the buses will be limited and likely in high demand, and there could be long delays. Attendees should plan their transport accordingly.

Driving to the air show is another option, as 15 Wing Moose Jaw has designated areas to park in for the day, and will have an area for vehicles to pick up and drop off visitors. Those details are listed on the air show website.

The service is being offered in collaboration with SGI to encourage air show attendees to plan a safe ride home from the festivities.
