First month's building permits increased 45 per cent over 2024

Building permits issued in January valued at $1.25 million.

MOOSE JAW — Building permits issued in January by Moose Jaw City Hall were up 45 per cent from last January.

Permit values were $1.25 million compared with $857,000 in 2024.

Commercial construction included $925,000 for a utility building on a vacant lot on the southeast corner of the block, $78,000 for renovations to Gold Key Investments at 44 Fairford Street West, the former Times-Herald building, and $35,000 for an addition at Watch Tower Glass, 420-High St. W.

No permits were issued for new residences, Last January one permit for $435,00 was issued for a single-family residence.
