  1. Jagmeet Singh, leader of the NDP, is facing a by-election in Burnaby South today. He may need to secure a victory if he hopes to lead the party in the forthcoming federal election.
  2. Green Book won Best Picture at the Oscars last night. It proved to be a surprising and somewhat controversial win.
  3. Nigerians await the results of the country's presidential election. The process has resulted in violence and the election itself is said to be too close to call.
  4. Today is Trade Deadline day in the NHL. Some big names have already been moved, but more transactions could be on the horizon.
  5. Alberta's Chelsea Carey won the Scotties yesterday, defeating Ontario's Rachel Homan.
