More than two years after it closed down, the restaurant formerly known as Bonanza Family Restaurant is now facing the wrecking ball.
Contractors began demolishing the building on Sept. 8 and are expected to finish up by Sept. 18, according to the site supervisor. Paice Construction and Nelson Construction have been contracted to tear down the structure, which is located at the northeast corner of Main Street North and Thatcher Drive.
The owners of the restaurant supposedly shut down the business in late 2017 after the rent was raised, according to a post on reddit.com.
