MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- With a new volleyball season on the horizon, the Golden Ticket Volleyball Club will be holding their first set of tryouts this coming Sunday, Oct. 6.
The event will feature seven sessions covering five age groups in both male and female divisions.
The tryout schedule is as follows:
9 a.m -- 14-and-under female
10:30 a.m. -- 14-and-under male
12 p.m. -- 15-and-under female
1:30 p.m. -- 15- and 16-and-under male
3 p.m. -- 16-and-under female
4:30 p.m. -- 17- and 18-and-under male
6 p.m. -- 17- and 18-and-under female
The cost is $20 per player, with athletes who are in contention of making a GTVC team being asked to return for a second try-out on Sunday, Oct. 13.
All tryouts will take place at the Golden Ticket Sports Centre, located on Main Street North next to the Hillcrest Golf Club.

Plans are also coming together for the GTVC development City League Sundays program.
The league features 45 minutes of skills and training followed by 45 minutes of competition, and is open to Grades 6 to 9.
