For several years now the Sukanen Ship Museum has discussed the possibility of a second sale other than the March collectibles event.
“The end of (pandemic) lockdowns this spring offered an opportunity for the Outdoor Flea Market and Swap Meet, said museum President Gord Ross.
First mention of the show garnered plenty of interest and led to setting the date in June.
That first date was changed to Sunday, June 26 to avoid conflicting with the Mortlach Saskatoon Berry Festival and hoping some of those vendors might come here too.
The outdoor sale will be held at the museum, located 13 km south of Moose Jaw on Highway Two.
“Bring whatever you have to sell and come to buy and see the museum", he said.
Vendors get a 20 foot by 20 foot space and can sell from their vehicle or bring a table.
Sale chairperson Rob Downton said about 40 vendors had applied by early June with a wide variety from produce to household crafts to antique and collectibles.
A concession will be open with June 26 sale hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular museum admission applies.
