Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade makes triumphant return to downtown Moose Jaw

First full parade in three years draws dozens of floats, thousands of onlookers to Main Street

The Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade made a triumphant return on Sunday night, as dozens of floats wound their way down Main Street in front of thousands of onlookers.

Folks had been able to get a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus during their city tours in the midst of the pandemic the last three years, but Sunday’s event marked the first full-on return of the parade since 2019.

Participants went all out in their designs, too, with some featuring intricate floats covering all things Christmas, plenty of lights and holiday music, and even a few visits from the Grinch himself.

The stars of the show came at the end of the festivities and wide-eyed youngsters of all ages cheered and waved as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus rode in their specially designed float.

Here’s a sampling of just some of the sights and scenes from the 2022 Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade!
