This weekend you can learn more about one of the city's most beloved heritage buildings.
The Moose Jaw Public Library will be offering free tours on Saturday as part of Historic Places Day.
An initiative of the National Trust for Canada, Historic Places Day encourages Canadians to learn about history by visiting heritage buildings and landmarks. This year, hundreds of sites across the country will participate in Historic Places Day.
Tours of the library will be offered at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Tours will be approximately one hour in length. You do not need to pre-register ahead of time.
By taking part you could have a chance at winning $1,000 in the Historic Places Day selfie contest. All you need to do is take a photo at the library. Then, tag the library on social media while also tagging the National Trust for Canada (@thenationaltrustca) and you will be entered to win. If you are selected as the lucky winner, both you and the library will win $1,000.
