Saskatchewan's Lieutenant Governor, W. Thomas Molloy, is undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.  

According to a news release, during the treatment and recovery period, the constitutional and ceremonial duties of the Lieutenant Governor will be handled by The Honourable Robert Richards, who is the administrator of Saskatchewan. Roberts is also Chief Justice of Saskatchewan, as well as a member of the province's Court of Appeal.

Molloy was sworn-in as Saskatchewan's 22nd Lieutenant Governor on March 21, 2018.
