A Hepburn man has been charged with two counts of break and enter and two counts of assault after a series of incidents on Friday night, Moose Jaw Police report.
At around 12:34 a.m. on Saturday, police attended the VLA area for the break and enter in progress. The accused had previously assaulted an occupant of the home and fled, only to return and force entry into the residence before being forced out by the home owner.
Police arrived soon after and the suspect fled on foot before breaking into another residence and hiding until confronted by the home owner. Another struggle ensued and the accused again fled on foot.
The Moose Jaw Police Service canine unit attended and began tracking the accused through a number of yards in the area before the suspect was located and apprehended.
Neither of the assault victims were seriously injured.
Victor Mosquera, 22, faces two charges each of break-and-enter and assault as well as breach of probation. He was remanded into custody and will appear in provincial court on Monday.
