MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM -- The Moose Jaw Warriors and their fans had the opportunity to celebrate one more time on Saturday night.

The team held a special pre-game ceremony during their home opener to raise the 2024 WHL Championship banner to the Moose Jaw Events Centre rafters, with over 4,000 fans in attendance to take it all in.

Prior to the raising, the team showed a video recapping the entire playoff run, with a handful of key moments -- the overtime winner in Game 7 against Saskatoon and the celebration as the Warriors won Game 4 against Portland -- drawing huge cheers from the crowd.

That all led to the moment itself, as the 2024 WHL Champions banner was raised to the rafters to sit alongside the 2024 WHL Eastern Conference Champions banner that had gone up earlier.

During the game, the team also showed messages from members of the 2023-24 team, including Jagger Firkus, Brayden Yager, Lucas Brenton and, of course, hometown hero Atley Calvert.
