Based on what they’ve seen through the first couple of days, organizers couldn’t be happier with the return of Motif to Happy Valley.
The festival of art, dance, music and food – especially food – drew hundreds of patrons to the event on both Friday and Saturday, and they were treated to all the fineries of international cuisine one could want.
Caribbean jerk chicken, African shishkabobs, Chinese dumplings, Phillipino feasts and even Scotch eggs could be found at the booths ringing the park, with patrons taking advantage of the beautiful weather to sample the long list of scrumptious delights.
When folks weren’t chowing down, there was plenty to take in on the stage as 15-plus acts entertained each of the three days, with the Andino Suns highlighting Friday’s shows and Davy Sage headlining Saturday’s acts.
There’s still a whole day to check things out, too – Motif opens at 1 p.m. on Sunday and runs all the way to 6 p.m. when the legendary Desperate for Haggis closes out the weekend.
Here’s a look at some of the sights from Saturday afternoon!
