Nature Moose Jaw is preparing for a Christmas gathering on Friday, Dec. 16 at Hopkins Dining Parlour. The meal is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and the focal point of the meeting is to introduce potential new members and just enjoy a meal in good company.
The event is held in lieu of the organization’s usual December presentation, which is not taking place this year.
“It’s just a Christmas gathering with no real (schedule planned),” said Nature Moose Jaw’s president, Rich Pickering. “It’s for members or people who would like to become members.”
Participants are asked to purchase their meal independently, as the non-profit operates on a low budget.
Following the Christmas supper, the organization’s annual general meeting is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. At the meeting, members can suggest projects they would like to see in the upcoming year. There are no talking points yet and members are free to make suggestions.
“At this point I’m open to almost anything,” Pickering said.
Nature Moose Jaw’s board of directors changes each year, and in January 2024 a new board will be elected. To quality for a position on the board, one must be a paid member of the organization. For any questions, reach out to Rich Pickering.
