Not a baaaa-d way to relax

The Moose Jaw Families for Change hosted their first goat yoga class as a fundraiser for the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre

In addition to traditional yoga poses likes ‘downward dog’ and ‘dead bug’ the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre saw a new yoga pose Tuesday: petting goat.

The Moose Jaw Families for Change in collaboration with Wilson Farms and Abundant Health Solutions hosted their first goat yoga night at the Inclusion Centre.

Fourteen people came to the Inclusion Centre for a yoga class that featured a lot of bleating by adorable goats who jumped, scurried and played around the humans as they stretched.

The first goat yoga hosted by Moose Jaw Families for was a fundraiser for the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre and the funds will be put towards a new vehicle for transportation to community events and programs.

Future goat yoga events will take place at 7 p.m. on March 26, April 2 and April 9 at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre (335 4th Ave SW). The cost of each class is $20, or $70 for all. Pre-registration is required, and can be done by emailing communication@mjffc.com

The classes are open to people of all ages and abilities.
