The Moose Jaw Police Service is looking for able-bodied volunteers to assist in the search for 80-year-old Glen (Archie) Bell.

Volunteers will work with police and search and rescue in a grid search of the City of Moose Jaw. Those wanting to volunteer must have proper footwear and be dressed for changing weather conditions, such as pending rain. Please refrain from bringing personal animals such as dogs to the search.

Volunteers should meet at the south side of the Town ‘n’ Country Mall at 10:30 a.m. Search and rescue leaders will give them directions and assign them to teams.

Bell remains missing following an extensive search on Wednesday night (June 26), which included assistance from Moose Jaw Search and Rescue, the Moose Jaw Fire Department, Moose Jaw RCMP, and many concerned citizens.

Bell is 80 years old, stands 5-6, has grey hair, and suffers from dementia. He is believed to be wearing a red plaid jacket with a light-coloured shirt underneath and grey sweatpants. His black dachshund named Alfi may still be with him.

Previous incidents of Bell have resulted in him being found in random locations across Moose Jaw. Therefore, police are asking residents and business owners to search their yards, alleyways, sheds, garages or any other place where someone could seek shelter.

Additionally, they should check their CCTV footage—doorbell cameras and dashcams—from the last 24 hours for any information that could assist in the search. If they discover any footage that identifies Bell or his location, they should call the MJPS immediately at 306-694-7600.
