One man is recovering in hospital while another is in custody following a shooting.
Early yesterday morning, police responded to a report of a shooting on Ninth Ave. NE. Upon arrival, they found a man who had been shot in the lower extremities.
He was transported to Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and is recovering from serious but non life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police learned that several people had broke into the home armed with weapons. This allegedly led to the shooting.
Police located and arrested Jordon Shields, 36, later in the day without incident.
Shields will appear on court on March 30. He faces charges of attempted murder, break and enter, assault with a weapon, and other firearms-related offences.
Police have also issued an arrest warrant for Shaun Clayton Robinson, 41, of Moose Jaw. He is wanted for attempted murder and numerous other charges. Robinson is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him.
