Yesterday's winter storm kept SaskPower workers and members of the Moose Jaw Fire Department busy. The snowy weather caused a large power outage that affected much of the city.

Most of Moose Jaw was in the dark for extended periods yesterday; some residents were without power from the late afternoon until the early hours of the morning.

Power outages also affected communities like Saskatoon, Weyburn and some rural areas like Wood Mountain.

The fire department was kept busy extinguishing fires. Both SaskPower and the fire department reported on social media that these issues were caused by trees and weather conditions.

While the majority of the city is back up and running as of this morning, some residents reported on Twitter they were still without power.
