As restrictions are set to be lifted around the province, Saskatchewan RCMP continue to field calls related to COVID-19.

From April 24 to April 30 inclusive, there were 82 calls for service related to COVID-19.

This includes:

  • 43 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people;
  • 7 complaints of people failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so;
  • 32 other COVID-19 related complaints.

Two charges were laid for social gatherings over 10 people in the northern area of the province.

In a press release, the RCMP says that, although the weather has been nice in many areas of the province, the public should continue to stay at home and refrain from gathering in groups of 10, and to continue social distancing.
