Here's a summary of the draw results from the Scotties Tournament of Hearts on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Morning draws:

Lori Eddy and Team Nunavut put up a spectacular fight in the morning draw against Chelsea Carey and Team Canada, coming down to the final rock thrown by Eddy and a close measurement that left Canada with the close 6-5 win.

British Columbia’s Corryn Brown showed that youth doesn’t negate skill in her draw against Newfoundland and Labrador’s Erica Curtis, as Brown took an 8-6 victory. 

Prince Edward Island’s Suzanne Birt is one step closer to joining the championship pool with an 11-5 win over Yukon’s Hailey Birnie. 

Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville faced off against Alberta’s Laura Walker, securing a 4-3 win that also puts Northern Ontario one game closer to participating in the pool playoffs.

Afternoon draws:

Nova Scotia’s Mary-Anne Arsenault will be heading to a tiebreaker game after her 10-4 win against British Columbia’s Corryn Brown. Both teams will return Thursday morning for a draw to determine who will move on into the championship pool.

Team Prince Edward Island and Suzanne Birt held fast during their game with Northwest Territories’ Kerry Galusha, claiming an 8-7 win that takes P.E.I. on to the championship round.

Jennifer Jones has once again proven that Team Wild Card is always worth watching, as she took a 7-4 win over Newfoundland and Labrador’s Erica Curtis, landing Wild Card in a two-way tie for first place in Pool A.

Yukon’s Hailey Birnie played a solid final game against Ontario’s Rachel Homan but ultimately took another loss, with a final score of 9-3 for Homan.

Evening draws:

Team Saskatchewan and skip Robyn Silvernagle are headed into a tie breaker match against New Brunswick to determine who moves on to the championship pool, after Silvernagle lost the night’s final draw 4-3 to Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville.

Nunavut and Lori Eddy are headed home pleased after a 7-6 win over Quebec’s Noemie Verreault, a game that was well-fought until the end.

New Brunswick’s Andrea Crawford played an impressive game, taking a 7-5 win over Team Canada’s Chelsea Carey, leaving New Brunswick looking ahead to a tiebreaker game in the morning that could put them back in the Pool A running.

Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson held firm to her first place in Pool A with an 8-5 victory over Alberta’s Laura Walker, which unfortunately knocked Walker out of the top four spots in the pool.
