A major accident has closed traffic to Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway 10 kilometres east of Moose Jaw.
Moose Jaw RCMP advised the public that as of Saturday at 4:30 p.m., Highway #1 eastbound of Moose Jaw had been blocked due to a serious motor vehicle accident. Initial reports from those travelling past the scene westbound indicated that at least one vehicle was on fire.
There is no time frame for the highway to be re-opened, and RCMP are on site detouring traffic onto surrounding grid roads.
Police remind motorists to reduce speeds when passing emergency workers.
