It would have been difficult to improve on the first-annual Snowtorious Family Day celebrations last February, but the Downtown Moose Jaw Association just might have done it.
Hundreds of participants took part in the event in Crescent Park outside the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the event, all during a beautiful sunny Saturday morning and afternoon.
Folks could pick up a stick and take part in a road hockey game on Langdon Crescent in front of Crescent Park, and visit with firefighters from the Moose Jaw Fire Department in between games.
Visitors were able to head into the park proper and get a ride on the Prairie Percherons sleigh or take advantage of perfect sliding conditions to go for a trip or two down the hill surrounding the serpentine.
Closer to the museum were a selection of games, including Connect Four and cornhole, both of which attracted all sorts of attention throughout the day.
And, of course, you could pick up a hot dog and a hot drink from members of the DMJA who were handing out the delicious items.
Snowtorious Family Day was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club, the Moose Jaw Co-op, Tim Hortons and the City of Moose Jaw.
