Southern Sask. resident wins $1M in charity lottery

MOOSE JAW — Wayne Leisle from Morse became Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire, winning the grand prize of $1 million in the Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery, championed by The Mosaic Company.

“It’s a good lottery and it’s a good purpose,” said Wayne Leisle, when responding to the news he is the $1 million winner of the Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery.

The Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery offered over 1,000 prizes worth over two million dollars, over 300 cash prizes, and for the first time ever there were 10 grand prizes including the top grand prize of $1 million cash.

Adding to the excitement, the Halftime 50/50 reached an incredible jackpot of $1,023,500 with Troy Stengler from Regina taking home $511,750.

There are many more winners to be announced, said the foundation, asking people to keep a close eye on the website every day in December as they announce daily, weekly and Grand Prize winners in Saskatchewan’s largest Cash Calendar Lottery.

The Roughrider & Children’s Hospital Foundations Lottery, championed by Mosaic, is a partnership between Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation. The funds raised will contribute to maternal and children’s health care at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and across Saskatchewan as well as make a meaningful impact supporting amateur sports, literacy programs, mental health awareness for our province’s youth.
