MOOSE JAW — The community came together in a big way during the “Step Up For Her” fundraiser, with 25 dedicated men walking to support the Moose Jaw Transition House — and raising over $20,000 in the process.

The event was made possible through the support of several individuals and organizations. Jennilee Novak, assistant property manager at the Town ‘N’ Country Mall, provided the group with a place to walk, and Michala Turner, community and employee engagement manager with the Moose Jaw Co-op, provided snacks and drinks.

Jenn Angus, executive director of the Moose Jaw Transition House, handled online pledges, and Olivia Howe, coaching assistant with the Moose Jaw Warriors Hockey Club, got everyone set up at the hockey game.

Look for further details about the event in the next edition of the Moose Jaw Express paper.
