Marckoski is on a 24-hour curfew and is supposed to be in Regina. However, on that date police saw him in Moose Jaw. With further investigation, police learned that Marckoski may have been in possession of a weapon and was staying in a residence on the east side of the city.
Moose Jaw Police with the help from negotiators, the K-9 unit, and drone operators were able to talk Marckoski out of the building. He surrendered safely and was arrested without incident.
Marckoski was held for court and will appear this morning on weapons related charges.
Police initially blocked off a section of Eighth Avenue Northeast and Stadacona Street East to conduct this operation.
