The Western Development Museum is hosting its second annual fashion show in early June, where it will show off some of the many items in its collection.

The Green is the Colour fashion show takes place on Saturday, June 8 starting at 1 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend the event to check out vintage fashions and fabulous styles from days gone by. Most of the clothing will have a green hue to them, while visitors are also encouraged to come wearing green.

The fashion show will highlight more than 40 ensembles and accessory pieces from the museum’s extensive collection. The clothing ranges in age from 1946 through the 1990s. The show is a special opportunity for the museum to exhibit many pieces that are usually kept in storage at the WDM’s corporate office in Saskatoon.

Through the clothing, the museum is able to tell a different aspect of Saskatchewan’s story by what people were wearing in earlier decades in the province.

Refreshments will be served following the event.

Regular admission applies to get into the museum; WDM members get in for free.
