You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
Pickleball Tournament
Pickleball is an increasingly popular sport and a special tournament will be held in Moose Jaw this weekend. This fun event will pair competitors up in a round robin format. Games will be held at Cornerstone Christian School and will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by and see what the sport is all about!
Youth Chocolatery at MJPL
Youth will have an opportunity to make chocolates this Saturday, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The program will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Public Library. Participants need to register. Contact the library at 306-692-2787 for more information.
Sports Celebrity Banquet
The Moose Jaw Kinsmen will again host their annual Sports Celebrity Banquet this weekend. The event will be held Saturday at the Heritage Inn, starting at 5 p.m. This year’s line-up includes former NHL superstar Eric Lindros and Reese McGuire of the Toronto Blue Jays. Hosting the event will once again be Jays’ broadcaster Jamie Campbell. Tickets are $150 each. Call 306-631-5003 for more information.
Fundraiser for Oxford Place
Oxford Place is holding a fundraising event this Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Church. Funds will be used to help purchase a lift for the facility’s residents. There will be games, prizes, raffles, food and drinks. It promises to be a great time for the whole family! Tickets are $20 for anyone 11 and up, $10 for kids between six and 10, and it is free for kids five and under. Tickets are available at Oxford place (1007 Main St. North).
Warriors vs. Royals
Game on! Your Moose Jaw Warriors will host the Victoria Royals on Saturday. Brayden Tracey and Adam Evanoff will return to Moose Jaw for the first time since the Warriors made a blockbuster trade with the Royals in early January. The puck drops at Mosaic Place at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Mosaic Place box office.
Centre Dance
Get your dancing shoes on! The Moose Jaw & District Seniors Association will host its Centre Dance at Timothy Eaton Garden on Saturday from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Music will be provided by Two Stepp. Tickets are $15 each and will be available at the door.
AAA Warriors Home Game
The Moose Jaw AAA Warriors will host the Regina Pat Canadians on Sunday. The puck drops at Mosaic Place at 1:30 p.m. Be there to cheer on the team!
