You will find lots of fun activities in Moose Jaw this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
South of the Bridge Day
Head over to South Hill on Saturday! South of the Bridge Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot on Fourth Ave. SW and Lillooet. There will be a scavenger hunt, South Hill heritage trolley rides, music and activities for kids. Hot dogs will be available for purchase. The event is perfect for all ages!
Green is the Colour Fashion Show
Fashions from yesteryear will be on display this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Western Development Museum. The Green is the Colour Fashion Show will highlight a wide range of vintage styles, all in green hues. If you are planning on attending, get in on the fun by wearing green as well! Refreshments will be served. Regular museum admission applies but is free for WDM members.
Frozen Jr.
The Sawatzky Studios School of Performing Arts will present its final performance of Frozen Jr. This popular musical adventure is the perfect outing for the whole family. It is based on the 2018 Broadway musical and features several new songs written for the Broadway production. The performance will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Alliance Church. Be sure to come dressed as your favourite Frozen character! Tickets range from $20 to $25 and can be purchased online at sawatzkystudios.com, at Dream Drop Terrarium Shoppe, or at the door one hour prior to performance.
Denim, Diamonds and Pearls Dinner Party
This special evening will feature the music of the Bromantics and a Filipino feast. It will be held on Saturday from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Legion Hall. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased by calling Joan Murphy at 306-693-4148. Proceeds will go to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Women’s League projects.
The Washboard Union/PBR
One ticket gets you into two shows this weekend at Mosaic Place. You can enjoy the annual Professional Bull Riders (PBR) show, followed by a concert from the Washboard Union. Ethan Brentnell Concert
Local musician Ethan Brentnell will hit the stage at the Mae Wilson Theatre on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $25 and includes a copy of Brentnell’s debut album. To purchase tickets, contact the Cultural Centre’s box office at 306-693-4700 or visit www.moosejawculture.ca.
Seventh Day Adventist Family Day
The Seventh Day Adventist Church will host a free Family Day on Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. There will be a pancake breakfast. In the park beside the church you will find bouncy castles, popcorn, ice creams, games, and a rock wall.
Let’s Talk Raw
Learn about the benefits of feeding your dogs a raw diet at the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre on Sunday at 1 p.m. The presentation will be led by representatives from Fido and Felix Foods and Gram’s Real Meat Dog Treats. You will hear about the health benefits and the myths vs. the facts. Treats will be available for sale. The cost if $5 and all proceeds will go back to Moose Jaw Families for Change.
