During its Jan. 27 regular meeting, city council voted unanimously to support the City of Moose Jaw’s application to the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) to support the Crescent View Headworks venue replacement project.

“There are so many stores opening up, and the more you come support us, the higher the likelihood of other entrepreneurs thinking, ‘Oh, I can also open a store down there.’ Before we know it, (the mall could) become that bustling centre of activities again.”

As a precautionary measure, schools have intensified cleaning protocols with a focus on areas where cockroach activity has been reported.

Administration presented a report with 18 potential one-time operating and capital budget initiatives that council could support using $300,000 in extra investment earnings.
