On Wednesday, the Saskatchewan Roughriders resumed preparations for the 59th Labour Day Classic at Mosaic Stadium. It's been a tough month in Riderville as the team is winless in five games since a July 19th triumph over Winnipeg. Despite the lack of results, the Riders are still atop the West Division by a point over the Blue Bombers. However, the Roughriders are far from content with their standing and 5-5-1 record.

Quarterback Trevor Harris said that the team has to take a step forward with seven games left. "We talk a lot about bouncing back or bouncing backwards, and we're a bouncing back sort of team. It's just one of those things where every week is a new life, and it's about building to be the team that you want to be in the end."

Harris also knows the urgency to get back in the win column, saying, "A lot of times, it's the team that gets hot and gets close and tight-knit and starts getting those task and team cohesion things right as the Labour Day games approach and beyond. So to me, it's about building for these moments and ensuring we're on our details of everything."

Harris is confident that the group in Green and White are ready to take the next step, "I love this team, and I'm excited about the future in the last, you know, seven games of the regular season and then beyond."

The 59th Labour Day Classic at Mosaic Stadium is sold out. Kick-off is at 5 pm.
