Team Canada’s run at the IFAF World Flag Football Championship in Lahti, Finland. Early Thursday morning, the Senior Flag Men's National Team fell 27-21 to Switzerland in a quarter-final match-up. The Canadians did have a shot late in the game. Canada was able to drive the field on their last series, but a 4th down gamble from the Swiss 5-yard line that could have led to a game-tying touchdown ended in heartbreak with an incomplete pass in the end zone.

Canada is now eliminated from medal contention. However, the team will continue to play for Canada’s seeding at future international competitions leading to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
