Briske picks up shut-out as Cougars improve to 4-0, remain undefeated on season

The Prairie Hockey Academy Cougars U17 Prep team just keeps on rolling in Sask AA Hockey League action

The Cougars improved to 4-0 on the SAAHL U18 season after taking a 3-0 victory over the Regina Capitals in Regina on Friday night.

Mason Briske stopped all 22 shots he faced to earn the U17 squad their first shut-out in league action this season. 

Landen Connors and Chase Jocelyn scored for PHA in the first period and Brennan Watterson added an insurance marker with two seconds left in the second.

The Cougars outshot Regina in each period and finished with 33 shots total.

Watterson’s goal was the lone marker with the man advantage in five tries for PHA, Regina was 0-2 on the power play.

The two teams are back in action Saturday night at Barkman Arena in Caronport.
