BROSSARD, Que. — The Montreal Canadiens have suffered an off-season injury blow. The club announced Friday winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard has undergone surgery for a broken leg and will be out of action until late November.

BROSSARD, Que. — The Montreal Canadiens have suffered an off-season injury blow.

The club announced Friday winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard has undergone surgery for a broken leg and will be out of action until late November.

The Canadiens didn't provide details on how the 25-year-old was hurt.

Selected 201st overall at the 2019 NHL draft, Harvey-Pinard was limited to 45 games last season due to separate lower-body injuries, registering two goals and 10 points.

The Saguenay, Que., product has put up 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points in 83 career contests with Montreal across parts of three seasons.

The rebuilding Canadiens finished last in the Atlantic Division for a third consecutive campaign in 2023-24.
