Arthur (Gordon) Carr, aged 85 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29th, 2019.
Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lynnita “Lynn” and his children: Forrest “Smokey”; Doug (Erica), grandchildren Cielo, Lynn, Jonathan; Byron (Val), grandchildren Ryan, Brittney; and Marina (Stewart) Marshall, grandchildren Levi, Alia. He will also be fondly remembered by his surviving sisters, Margaret Pollock and Edna Labrosse.
Gordon was born in Turtleford, SK and married the love of his life and best friend Lynnita Wood on May 10th, 1958. He worked as an Electrician with SaskPower for 35 years. Gordon had many hobbies and interests, including travelling, camping, auction sales, curling, golfing, making jewelry and stained glass, and was an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. Gordon also loved music and playing the saxophone. A special thank you to Dr. Geyer who went above and beyond, and the exceptional care he was given by Mariam and staff at Marcies Care Home who treated Gordon as one of their own.
A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Gordon’s name may be made to Parkinson Canada, 2103 Airport Dr #110B, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6W2 or to a charity of one’s choice.
