Janis Merle Daniel
The family of Janis Daniel is saddened to announce her passing in Avonlea, SK on September 24, 2019. Janis is predeceased by her parents, Ivan and Irma Powers. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Arthur; four children Lloyd (Christina) Daniel, Katey Taylor, Karen (Jeff) Dombowsky and Robert (Leah) Daniel; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Janis was raised in Parry, SK and earned her teaching diploma in Regina. She taught school in Avonlea where she met Arthur and raised her family. She loved music, flowers and her garden. Janis was an active member in the community and played the organ at Avonlea United Church for 35 years. Janis was a friend to everyone. Celebration of Life for Janis will be held on Sunday September 29, 2019 at 2:00PM in the Avonlea Community Hall. Neil Alexander will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy donations in Janis’ name may be made to Village of Avonlea for Cotaeu Range Manor, 203 Main Street, Avonlea, SK S0H 0C0. In loving memory of Janis, a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
