Cecil John Glover, aged 79 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, in Saskatoon, SK. Cecil was born on March 3rd, 1940 to Cecil ‘Jake’ and Anna (née: Ham) Glover and grew up in the Blue Hill District along with the love of his life, Marleen (née: Hartley). They were married on April 16th, 1960 at Blue Hill Church. From the day he bought his first guitar as a teenager, music was a great passion in Cec’s life, second only to his love for his family. During Cecil’s nearly four decades of ministry, countless people were impacted by his teaching, his music, and his genuine love for people. He loved to laugh, was a great storyteller, and every person who met Cecil walked away knowing he truly cared about them. He was predeceased by his parents, Jake and Anna; his brother, Cal; and his beloved dog, Benji. Cecil is survived by his beloved wife, Marleen; daughter, Kelly (Randy) Watson; and sons, Daniel (Bernie) and Darren (Joyce); grandchildren: Tyler Watson (Hanna), Laurissa Watson (David Rival), Joel Watson (Jordan Bonkowski), William Watson (Brianne), Ashley Beyak (Jeff), Jesse Breault, Colton Glover and Austin Glover; sister, Judy Bender; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. One of the great joys of his life was being a great-grandfather to Kassi, Audrey, Astrid, Rigg and Cruz. A Celebration of Cecil’s life will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
