JANICE PAMELA HOLEKSA

September 24. 1955 – September 9, 2024

On September 9, 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Janice. Janice was born on September 24, 1955, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

At an early age, our family relocated to Regina where Janice looked forward to bowling every Saturday with the Special Olympics, dancing, shopping, making cookies, family picnics, camping and roasting marshmallows. For 40 years she attended the Cosmo Activity Centre in Regina with her friends. In 2016, Janice moved to Moose Jaw, to be closer to her mom. Karis Disability Services provided a caring home (where everyone was called Ashley by Janice). She liked to shop, buy flowers for her mom, go on picnics and McDonalds, watch cooking and animal shows on television.

Her dad, Frank, passed away on November 6, 1996. Janice is survived by her mom, Inez of Moose Jaw; brother Guy (Karen) of North Vancouver, BC; sisters Beverley of Sylvan Lake, Alberta and Carol of Parksville, BC; nieces Maddie, Julie and Kali; nephews Zack, Nate and Brando.

It is lonesome here without you,

We miss you more each day.

Each time we see your picture,

You seem to smile and say,

Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping,

We’ll meet again someday.

Run free. Dad will take care of you now.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at W.J. Jones & Son Reception Centre, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, SK.

In living memory of Janice, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Ltd. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Chrystine Dacey- Funeral Director
