Robert Bernard Lien, known affectionately as Bob, passed away on November 4, 2024, in Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of 82. Born on July 24, 1942, in Tuxford, SK, he was a cherished member of his community and a devoted fan of baseball. Bob spent many enjoyable hours watching games and playing slo-pitch softball with his team the Tigers, sharing his love for the sport with friends and family.
Bob was the beloved father of Tammy Vandenberg, Cindy Urquhart, Deb Roberts, and Chris Lien. He is also survived by many grandchildren, as well as his sisters, Beulah Banyard and Joyce Daniels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Minnie Lien; his brother, Mervin Lien; and his sisters, Muriel Kober and Doris Davis.
A small interment ceremony for Bob will be held at Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Plans for a larger celebration of life are underway and will be held in the summer of 2025, allowing friends and family to gather and honour his memory in a fitting tribute.
