George Nelson McIntyre

May 28, 1941 – May 11, 2024

On may 11, 2024 George Nelson McIntyre, Late of Birch Hills, passed peacefully at the Good Sheperd Villa in Prince Albert with his Alice by his side (82 years old). George was born in Birch Hills hospital on May 28, 1941. In his youth he would ski, fish, hunt, and ride his bike for miles. He worked for farmers. He worked for the town and as a town cop. He started his construction company in 1967 and closed out with an auction in 2015. He was an important part of the Jug Cat Band too. His job was to load the van with equipment and women & to unload everything including the women too. His work took him to many towns in Saskatchewan, and he made friends in every town. He ventured into dance music with his wife Alice. Besides playing the guitar, he taught himself to play the banjo. They sure had fun. They got to travel up to Tuktoyaktuk in northern Canada. They also travelled to Alaska with their truck and camper. It was a dream come true, when they went to Munick Germany to take in a huge construction show. They took many fishing trips into northern Saskatchewan. George enjoyed life, and he had many a laugh and many friends.

Donations may be made in memory of George to the Parkinsons Canada Foundation.

Service of remembrance will be held on May 15, 2024 at 2:00pm. At Birch Hills Civic Centre, Birch Hills, SK.
