TAYLOR WADE MICHELSON
May 19th, 2003 - February 28th, 2025

Our Taylor left us far too soon.
But his immeasurable impact is eternal.

Taylor Wade Michelson aged 21 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away Friday, February 28th, 2025.

Taylor lived ensuring that his love will forever fill the heart of his mom, Krista. His irrefutable love for his grandparents, Warren and Debbie, will always be cradled in their hearts. He will forever be cherished by his loving family: Uncle Paul and cousin Michael; Auntie Kimberly, Uncle Colin and cousins: Jacob, Lillian, and William; Uncle Brent, Auntie Carmen, and cousins: Josiah, Isaiah, Malachi, Lena, and Eden. Taylor was blessed to share his life with a large supportive extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He relished in the countless memories created with them through road trips, special events, camping, and vacations.

Taylor shared a profound bond with his Great-Grandma, a connection that brought him great comfort. Though she passed before he was eight, her presence remained strong for him, and he spoke of her often throughout his life.

The family will always hold deep gratitude for Taylor’s best friend Evan, whose continued dedicated loyalty and selflessness meant the world to Taylor.

Taylor’s connection with his mom had flourished into a deep camaraderie. They shared so many laughter-filled experiences (“Don’t call it a date, mom. That’s weird.”) - concerts, comedy shows, and football games. Road trips led them to exploring hidden mountain hot springs and waterfalls, snowshoeing in northern Ontario, off-grid camping, ziplining over the Rockies in the Kootenays, and Blue Jays games. Some of Taylor’s favourite travel moments together were experiencing the crowd’s electricity at a Toronto FC match, visiting the iconic Lambeau Field, introducing his mom to a self-driving Tesla, and conquering his fear of heights by braving the CN Tower Edgewalk.

Taylor had grown into a spontaneous adventurer, always seeking his next excursion. He loved music concerts (often involving hilarious, harmless shenanigans) with his most trusted friend, Evan. Taylor always enjoyed travelling to major sporting events, including Blue Bomber and Grey Cup games.

With a growing eager enthusiasm for aviation, Taylor hoped to pursue this passion professionally. He was captivated by the aura and energy of big cities and always had an incredible talent for photography. He found a way to combine all these interests. No matter where his journeys had taken him, Taylor carved out time dedicated solely for taking pictures of the new surroundings: nature, night sky, the city skyline. Most often, he could be seen near airports methodically capturing images of airplanes. He was so modestly proud of his portfolio and was elated when some of his photos were used on national TV and news articles.

Taylor was dedicated to fitness and aspired to learn more in order to help others achieve their lifestyle goals. He valued the connections he had made with his fellow gym enthusiasts.

Known for his clever humour and quick wit, Taylor brought joy to everyone around him. He had a kind and humble heart, felt deeply, and carried a quiet strength. His warmth was effortless and genuine; a gift he treated as a responsibility to help others feel lighthearted and happy.

Let that bright smile of his continue to guide us through these dark days.

Enjoy your flight, Taylor. Soar, unburdened and free.

We will gather to honour Taylor on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW in Moose Jaw. Interment will take place at a later date at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens in Estevan, SK, where Taylor will lay in peaceful freedom with his Great-Grandma. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
