Our hero, Tyler James Morin, born on August 26th, 1994, left this world on Friday, June 28th, 2024, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Tyler is survived by his grieving parents, Lennard and Dena Morin; brothers, Robert Morin (Kari) and David Morin (Gem); and cherished niece and nephews: Austin, Ayden, Ayeisha, Damielle, and Dean. Tyler also leaves cherished friends Braden Wagner, John and Jackson Currie, and Cass Follensbee and their families, as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins, Grandma Sandra and Grandpa Jerry. Tyler was predeceased by Grampa Joe and Carole Morin, Grandma Norma Field and Grandma Verna Bjorgan, and Grandpa Fred Perrin.
In the Morin family, Tyler was not just a beloved son and brother, but a cornerstone of joy and laughter. His infectious smile and lively sense of humour endeared him to everyone he met. Tyler possessed a unique blend of unwavering support and playful spirit, always ready with a helping hand and a witty remark that could lift anyone's spirits.
His love language was teasing, a genuine expression of his deep care for others. Tyler cherished moments spent with his cousins, nieces, and nephews, delighting in their laughter and sharing his passions for video games and sports, particularly football and hockey. His ability to connect with younger generations made him a cherished figure among family and friends alike.
From a young age Tyler showed a remarkable talent for sports, especially football. His dedication and skill led him to join the Vanier Vikings in high school, where he played an instrumental role in ending a multi-year championship drought, a moment that filled his family with immense pride.
Tyler's passion for football and video games wasn't just a pastime but a means to forge lasting bonds and create cherished memories with loved ones. His athletic prowess caught the eye of scouts from the University of Regina Rams, yet he chose a different path, pursuing a career as an electrician after completing a successful apprenticeship and earning his red seal certification. His decision to work in Moose Jaw reflected his deep devotion to his family and roots.
Known for his generosity and willingness to help others in need, Tyler's kindness touched countless lives. His presence could transform any gathering into a joyful celebration, where laughter flowed freely.
Tyler James Morin will be remembered not only for his athletic achievements and professional success, but for the warmth of his spirit and the depth of his love for those around him. His passing leaves an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
A Celebration of Tyler's Life will be held on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to honour his memory and share stories of his extraordinary life.
