Jeanette Way

Mary Jeanette Way, aged 89, passed away peacefully June 23, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 3, 1931 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to loving parents James Alexander and Margaret Myron (nee Moffat). She married her long time friend and love, Charles Wilfred Way, on February 15th, 1949, who preceded her death in 1978. Jeanette was a hard working woman who grew up on a farm near Crestwynd, Saskatchewan, and had a green thumb for growing spectacular gardens. She loved Square dancing and all things sports, specifically going to the Moose Jaw Warriors hockey games. Jeanette was a devoted member of the Trinity United Church in Moose Jaw, where she attended service regularly and sang in the choir.

Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 23:

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Jeanette is survived by her loving and devoted partner Cameron Coghill, her sisters Helen, Norma and Ruth, her three children Barbara, Harold, and Wayne, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved and cared for deeply. Please join us in a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, September 5th, 2020. Details to follow. In living memory of Jeanette, a memorial planting will be made by Jones - Parkview Funeral Services. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com or www.parkviewfuneralchapel.ca  (Obituaries).
